The issue of deep modernization of Mi-14 is almost resolved

At those shortcomings which will remain with Mi-14 and after modernizations would be logical to begin the project with “0”.

1. The former deputy CEO of KVZ Valery Kartashev considers that “the close attention should be paid to stability questions: “At nervousness more than three points if to switch off the screw, the car turned over. Such cases were in the north”.

2. “As the loading capacity of the car didn’t allow to bear at the same time sensors and the weapon, necessary for destruction of the submarine, Mi-14 worked with couples: one looked for submarines, the second attacked them”.

3. At take-off from water the helicopter had tendency to a zaryvaniye of nasal part of the helicopter in water.

It is unlikely something will approach the best in quality of the sea helicopter, except the helicopter of the cross scheme because in sea open spaces big scope of two bearing screws doesn’t matter, but wings will provide reliable cross stability. And not only!

And so one after another: at modern liners of the console of wings are inflexed, at a sea rotary-wing aircraft they should be bent down and on the ends to fix floats of cross stability. From above – the bearing screws from the serial Mi-38 helicopter which will receive rotation from one D-136 engine (future Russian PD-12V engine so far only in minds of designers) installed on a fuselage and which in flight will have identical turns under any flight conditions. The sea option is able to afford to have instead of two engines only one! Why? Yes because when performing all flight under a rotary-wing aircraft – an amphibian it will be constant a surface of the water which in overland option is equivalent to a landing strip and at an engine failure the device without problems will make water landing.

Besides it is possible even then when this engine one on all helicopter. But in this case there is more reliable way out: to install on stabilizers of tail plumage on TVD with the pulling screws by means of which the rotary-wing aircraft will be capable to continue flight in the autogyro mode. At the same time it is necessary to consider also that the crew at a small stock of power of TVD of tail stabilizers has an opportunity to use the airbag like an ekranoplan, and the airbag will exert the positive impact not only on the bearing screws, but also on wings that in general will facilitate operation of the pulling screws.

Moreover, if the main engine and one tail TVD, then a rotary-wing aircraft refuse – an amphibian in the mode of the boat it will be capable to float by means of other tail TVD and the nasal part unlike the single-screw helicopter won’t bury, and on the contrary – to rise. For this reason” the speed of taxing of Mi-14 is limited to 20k/h, and the rotary-wing aircraft will be capable to drive with a speed of the high-speed boat, and it in turn will allow not to wait for the help after an emergency landing, but in the boat mode surely to float on base.

I believe that to the Kazan helicopter designers where earlier the helicopter – an amphibian was issued, the offered rotary-wing aircraft option with one main engine and two TVD on stabilizers of tail plumage will be quite on a shoulder. And designers of MVZ already have to have many efforts: it is time for them to think of replacement of outdated Mi-26, of old replacement of the fighting landing Mi-24 helicopter, to continue works on the advertized high-speed helicopter of PSV.
